 | I always hated the way Cheerleaders are portrayed as the toxic bullies of the highschool in ANY movie. This documentary has shown how it truely is. | This is a STUNNING series of a very commonly underestimated SPORT. That said, my heart now wants a spin-off series.....of people like Jerry & other minorities on the team. They by uniform “represent Texas” - so by proxy/default represent the “values” of Texans. It’s no secret, Texas is a VERY conservative state. So I would be so interested to learn more about how anyone can wear a uniform and knowingly represent (& support as a CHEERLEADER) a society & State that’s polar opposite to who they are as an individual. It’s truly something I’d love a deeper dive into. I’m extremely Liberal myself. Theater background and very LGBTQ open and friendly.
